I am interested in applying for a position of Intern Journalist in South China Morning Post (SCMP).
Currently I am studying for an M.A. in International Communication at Peking University and will graduate with honors in 2006. I speak fluent English and Mandarin and have very good computer skills. Subjects I have taken at Peking University are relevant to the post of Intern Journalist and they include Communication Theories and Journalism Theories. In addition, I majored in finance in my four-year undergraduate program at Zhejaing Gongshang University in Hangzhou, China, which will surely help me to understand better social events related to financial matters. Additionally, I have acquired considerable working experiences during my study. I serve as Intern Media Development Assistant in SINA.com last year, which helped me to develop my communication skills, teamwork spirit and self-motivation. Please rest assured that I am respectful to my superiors, devoted to my job, responsible in my duties and cooperative in my interaction with my colleagues.
Working for South China Morning Post appeals to me because it has a good reputation and it is a leading company in my field and will provide me with excellent training.
