although的用法總結(jié)

　　1.although較正式，語氣強

　　Although he was tired, he went on working.

　　2.although引導(dǎo)的從句放在主句前后均可，有時還可放在句中。

　　Although many difficulties are still ahead, we are determined to make greater achievements.盡管在前面的道路上還有許多困難，但是，我們決心要取得更大的成就。

　　He often helps me with my English although he is quite busy.盡管他相當(dāng)忙，但是還常常幫我學(xué)英語。

　　3.although引導(dǎo)的從句不能與but, however連用，但可與yet, still連用。

　　不能說：Although he was old, but he worked hard. 應(yīng)把but去掉。當(dāng)然，保留but而去Although也可。

　　注意:although 的幾不:

　　although不能指假設(shè)的情況

　　although不能作并列連詞

　　although不能作副詞，放在詞尾

　　although有什么用法：

　　1.表示對比，“雖然”。

　　eg: Although he is not smart, he works harder than his classmates.

　　雖然他不聰明，但他比他的同學(xué)都要用功。

　　2. 表示驚奇或出乎意料，“雖然”。

　　eg: He can do most of the housework, although he is only five years old.

　　雖然他才五歲，他會做大部分家務(wù)活。

　　3. 表示讓步，“盡管，即使”。

　　eg: My father is still working outside, although it is very hot.

　　盡管天氣很熱，我的爸爸還在外面勞作。

　　4.表示轉(zhuǎn)折，“不過;然而”。

　　eg: I didn’t agree with him, although I didn’t speak out my opinion at once.

　　我不同意他的看法，不過我并沒有馬上說出我的想法。
