下面分復(fù)數(shù)和單數(shù)的情況，來進(jìn)行講解：

　�。�1）復(fù)數(shù)是只有兩種情況，加 the 或 不加冠詞

　　1、復(fù)數(shù)一般情況下不加冠詞 。

　　2、特殊情況為后面跟定語從句（或其縮略式）進(jìn)行限定時，加the。

　�。�2）單數(shù)不定冠詞 a 或 an：

　　1、在句義表示泛指時，加 a 或 an。

　　2、同位語進(jìn)行解釋說明時，要加 a 或 an。如：…… by Redfin,anational real estate brokerage firm.

　　3、單數(shù)名詞前有形容詞，一般要添加 a 或 an。 如：adecisive reversal （一種決定性的逆轉(zhuǎn)）

　　4、至于用 a 還是 an，就看后面的的詞的發(fā)音是否是以元音開始。

　　定冠詞 the：

　　1、of 前的單數(shù)名詞一般要加 the，固定詞組除外。如：the start of the recession。

　　2、明確特指對象，要加 the。如：debunkingtheidea that we need to grow more food on a large scale so we can “feedthenine bollion”-theanticipated global population by 2050.

　　3、定語從句（包括 doing 或 done 的從句省略形式）的先行詞一般加 the。如：There is aslothevirtually unregulated food system that is geared toward making money rather than feeding people.
