婦女要求男女平等的英語作文
women are demanding equality with men
where was a time when, if a lady got into a crowded bus or train, a gentleman would immediately stand up and bring to offer his seat. but now, things are different. today a gentleman will probably look out of the window,or if he feels a bit shy, hide behind his newspaper. either way,the lady will have to stand until someone else gets off.
you cant entirely blame men for this change in manners, though. gone are the days when women could be referred to as the weaker ones without causing trouble. a whole generation of women has grown up demanding equality with men, not just equality in jobs or education, but in social life. hold a door open for some women and you are likely to get an angry lecture on treating women as weaker ones unable to open doors for themselves. take a girl out for a meal and shell probably insist on paying her share of the bill. on second thought, that is perhaps not a bad idea.
its no wonder, then that men have given up some ways of politeness and consideration which they used to show towards women. on the other hand, the mans active politeness is perhaps slowly being replaced by true consideration for the needs and feelings of women, so that men can see women as equal human beings, rather than as weaker ones or something that can be used to please men.
maybe it is worth womens while to stand in the bus or train.

曾經(jīng)有一個(gè)時(shí)期，如果女士上了擁擠的公共汽車或火車，紳士們就會(huì)立即起身讓座。但現(xiàn)在情況完全不同了。現(xiàn)在，男士們可能會(huì)看著窗外，或者，如果他感到有點(diǎn)不好意思，就會(huì)藏在報(bào)紙后面。這兩種情況不管是哪種，女士們只能站著等到有人下車。
但是這種禮貌行為的變化不能完全歸咎于男士。女士們被當(dāng)作弱者而不會(huì)引起麻煩的'日子一去不復(fù)返了。新一代的女性成長起來，不僅在工作或教育上，而且在社會(huì)生活中都要求男女平等。如果你為某些女士開門，就可能得到怒氣沖天的說教，覺得你把女士當(dāng)成連門都不能自己開的弱者。帶一個(gè)女孩子外出吃飯，她可能會(huì)堅(jiān)持付自己的那份賬單。仔細(xì)想想這也許不是什么壞事。
所以男士放棄了他們過去對(duì)女士的某些禮貌和體諒也就不足為奇了。另一方面，男士們主動(dòng)的禮貌也許正在漸漸地被處于對(duì)女士需求和情感方面的真正考慮所取代，所以男士可以把女士當(dāng)成平等的人類，而不是弱者或是用來取悅男人的工具。
也許女士們?cè)诠财嚮蚧疖嚿险疽粫?huì)兒是值得的。
