一件開(kāi)心的事情 A Happy Event

　　May 18th,Wednesday,Sunny

　　After school this afternoon,on my way home I met two American friends who lost their way.They forgot the way to the hotel where they stayed.As I knew where the hotel was,I decided to take them there.On the road,we talked a lot.I told them about the great changes in the city,such as the wider road,the more convenient transportation,the fresher air and so on.I also introduced that now Chinese students needn't spend most of their time on textbooks any more,because they didn't have as much homework as before.In their spare time,they could choose whatever they like to learn.The American friends told me something about the American youth as well.

　　It was late when I got home,but I was very happy.Because I not only helped American friends,but also realized the importance of learning a foreign language well.

　　今天下午在放學(xué)回家的.路上，我遇見(jiàn)兩個(gè)迷路的美國(guó)朋友。他們忘記了去他們住的旅館的路。我知道那家旅館在哪兒，所以我決定給他們帶路。在路上，我們談了很多。我介紹了家鄉(xiāng)的巨大變化，比如馬路更寬敞了，交通更方便了，空氣更新鮮了等等。我還介紹說(shuō)現(xiàn)在中國(guó)學(xué)生不必再把大部分時(shí)間花在課本上，因?yàn)樗麄兊淖鳂I(yè)不像以前那么多了。在空閑時(shí)間里，他們可以選擇任何喜歡的東西來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)。美國(guó)朋友也告訴了我一些美國(guó)年輕人的情況。

　　雖然我到家晚了，但是我很高興。因?yàn)槲也粌H幫助了美國(guó)朋友，而且也認(rèn)識(shí)到學(xué)好外語(yǔ)的重要性。
