　　要說我敬佩的一個人，那就是我的媽媽，她長得不高也不矮，瘦瘦的，好象一陣風就會把媽媽吹倒（開個玩笑），媽媽學英語。接下來我就給你講講媽媽學英語的事。

　　那時我才上三年級，學校里開了英語課，每次老師說要我們回家讀課文們回家讀課文給家長聽，可是好多地方媽媽不懂，我讀錯了她也不知道，而且我不會讀的單詞和課文也沒有人幫我輔導，為這媽媽和我都很苦惱，幾天以后媽媽做了個想象不到的決定：媽媽要學—英—語。我和爸爸都不敢相信自己的耳朵。

　　媽媽說到果然做到，她先去買了許多英語教材和磁帶，然后又去報了英語班�？墒谴蠖鄶涤⒄Z班都是教小孩子的，好不容易才找到一個教成人英語的，媽媽很高興。

　　媽媽一開始學英語很困難，爸爸勸她說：“你現在都三十多了，記憶又不好，沒有年輕時的腦子好用了，反正也學不好，不如別學了�！蔽乙矂駤寢尣灰敲葱量�，可媽媽就是不聽，她說：“我不能半途而廢，有始無終，我一定要堅持，要給璐璐做個好榜樣，不是嗎？”然后媽媽有接著背單詞、讀課文。因為媽媽基礎不扎實，所以要從三年級的教材開始學。晚上我們叫媽媽睡覺了，她說：“你們先睡我過一會就睡”。我們就沒管她。12點多了我起來喝水，看見媽媽還在看書就勸她早就休息，她點點頭說：“再學一會”。到了第二天，我們看見媽媽的.眼睛紅紅的腫腫的，也不知道昨天晚上幾點才睡，爸爸生氣的說：“你愛惜點自己的身體好不好？多大的人了，眼睛還要不要？”我也對媽媽說：“你這樣是會影響上班的�！眿寢屩皇切πΓ諛游倚形宜�，爸爸一生氣就把媽媽報的那個英語班給退了。媽媽知道后很傷心，不理爸爸了好幾天。我們以為媽媽傷心過后就不學了，但我們錯了，媽媽照樣堅持著，自己邊學邊找老師，就這樣媽媽堅持了兩年多，終于學會了英語，現在我的英語也有人幫我輔導了，我們能在家里進行簡單的英語對話，我的英語成績也慢慢的上升，我真為我的媽媽驕傲。

　　在過去的幾周里，我在努力的和星吧閣的多數學生家長們進行交談。大家交流中不斷提及的話題之一，就是在家中創(chuàng)造英文環(huán)境的問題。如今我們都聽說過一些方法，比如觀看英文電影、聽英文歌曲等，但說起另一方法——用英文和他們的孩子對話，絕大多數的中國家長都不敢嘗試。主要原因，就是擔心他們這樣做會在某種程度上對孩子的外語學習造成不良的影響。家長們的擔心包括:

　　● 怕孩子會“感染”上他們可怕的口音

　　● 害怕自己混淆語法，或用錯詞語

　　● 擔心自己的詞匯量不夠用來教孩子

　　●每次家長試著和孩子用英文對話的時候，孩子表現抵觸的情緒，或者干脆用中文回答

　　我想和大家解釋一下，為什么我認為這類問題是可以克服的，以及為什么我認為在家里和孩子講英語，是家長在幫助孩子學英語的經歷中能為他們做的最有益的事情。

　　在我和家長們開始談到講英語的時候，我發(fā)現用一個簡單的比喻來解釋效果不錯。如果您的孩子想學打籃球，您可以在開始的時候教他學習如何抓球。然后，教他如何彈球，以及投籃。之后，您可以教他籃球的游戲規(guī)則，甚至和孩子一起玩一下。所有這些您教的基本技能，都是孩子要打籃球比賽所必需的核心條件。一旦學習掌握并加以實踐，他就可以和其他孩子一起玩耍，同時提高自身的技能。當和其他的孩子一起游戲的時候，通過觀摩其他的孩子，您的孩子會通過學習他人的玩法，來形成自己的游戲策略，甚至會開始對自己的技法進行創(chuàng)新。當他從練習中以及對失誤的總結學習中表現越來越好的時候，他就有可能在籃球技能上超越您。

　　您在擔心自己教給孩子不地道的口音、混淆語法、或者詞匯量不夠的問題嗎？其實，讓孩子置身于這種語言環(huán)境之中，以及從能夠流利講這種語言的`人那里得到反饋，遠遠要比讓他實現完美的發(fā)音更為重要。不過，如果您的孩子學習英文達到一定的時間，他們最終將會琢磨出正確的發(fā)音。

　　想象一下，在您的孩子的大腦中，有兩種知識桶。一個桶里裝的是漢語，另一個桶里是英語。兩桶之間，是漢語和英語的混合部分和兩種語言在語調、詞匯、語法和口音等方面的重疊。開始的時候，孩子會模仿您說英文的方式，因為他是從您這里得到的大多數英文語言輸入。當他們學的內容越來越多、年齡不斷增長、同時也變得更加成熟的時候，當聽到以英文為母語的外國人的標準發(fā)音的時候，他們就開始模仿外國人的發(fā)音，因為此時孩子們能夠意識到這種發(fā)音方式是正確的。這個時候對他們來說，兩只語言桶之間將變得涇渭分明，不再有重疊混淆的領域。

　　所以，我們的首要目標，應該是實現英文表達的流暢度，而非完美程度。讓我問您一個問題：您寧愿自己的孩子能夠流利的講英語呢，還是能夠準確完美的說英文，但是磕磕巴巴？學習英語，是學習一種技能，而技能的掌握，是在不斷的犯錯和糾正中獲得的。這中間需要很多的練習和指導，而孩子們在沿途沾染一些錯誤的習慣，也不足為奇。但是，如果他們不從基本的表達技能學起，不開始積極參與這一語言游戲，要做到有朝一日流暢的說英文，是不可能的。

　　讓我告訴您去和孩子講英語是件很容易的事，但您要身體力行并養(yǎng)成這樣的一個習慣，并非易事。我可以想象一個開始的場景：您在家里對孩子講英語，而孩子表現抵觸，甚至認為您在以某種殘酷的方式懲罰他們——養(yǎng)成講英語的習慣，對孩子不容易，對您來說，也不是件容易事。但我總和家長們說，為了一生的收獲，請忍住一時的淚水。
