　　the game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on friday night. long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium.

　　by seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. the school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. they started to play at about a quarter to eight. everybody stood up, and the people sang. the game was about to start. two teams ran out to the floor. the referee blew his whistle, and the game started. a basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters. there is a rest period between the halves. during the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. from then on, the game was very exciting. first one team made a basket, then the other. the people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

　　the ball hit the rim of the basket and seemed to hang there for a moment, and then it fell through the basket. the whistle blew and the game was over. home team won, 70 to 68.

　　媽媽為我們設(shè)定了比賽規(guī)則：比賽分為筆試和口試。第一名三元錢，第二名二元錢，第三名一元錢。霄霄哥哥興致高漲，迫不及待地想看看題目。我胸有成竹地坐在沙發(fā)上看書。洋洋哥哥聽了心里直打鼓。比賽開始了，霄霄哥哥側(cè)著身子，把“卷子”放在桌子底下，以免被洋洋哥哥偷看。洋洋哥哥在一旁抓耳撓腮，眼睛不時地瞟一眼霄霄的.“卷子”。我躲在一個房間里飛快的做完了自己的題目。我忐忑不安地拿給媽媽改分，心像小兔子一樣“碰碰”直跳。我的分?jǐn)?shù)出來了，是九十五分，這是因為粗心的我把Tuesday寫成Tuseday了。雖然如此，我還是松了口氣。因為兩個哥哥成績都沒我好。口試的時候所有的題目都很簡單，大家全得了滿分。于是我得了第一名。我高興得眉開眼笑，身體里的“小白兔”好像也在為我高興呢！

　　今天是英語比賽的復(fù)賽，我和爸爸早上早早的起床，然后出去吃早餐，我們到車站坐上車以后，我驚奇的發(fā)現(xiàn)我和聶澤坤做的竟然是同一班車！我們因為離得很遠(yuǎn)，所以路上沒有說話。到了以后爸爸給我買了一瓶水就打出租車來到了我們比賽地點廣電大廈，我們向保安人員問清了演播廳在哪兒，就去了，正好又碰上了聶澤坤，他正好也要進(jìn)去，我覺得我們像有緣分一樣。然后老師要開始點名了，因為姓名在電腦上，所以我就和聶澤坤一起看了看名單，發(fā)現(xiàn)喬尚卿（2班的一位同學(xué)）第一，聶澤坤第二我第三，我們還發(fā)現(xiàn)，指導(dǎo)教師應(yīng)該都是于海洋（Ms yu）,喬尚卿的卻被打成了丁海洋！我和聶澤坤都笑了起來。

　　開始點名了，我們在點名的桌子前面站成兩排，喬尚卿抽了34號，聶澤坤抽了33號，而我卻抽了14號！我們離得太遠(yuǎn)了，就連不會的單詞都不能互相問一下。比賽開始了我們來到一個大廳里，在里面按順序坐好，開始抽紙條，上面寫著單詞，后面寫著幾個人表演，我抽了一個紙條上面寫著：Look snake help a boy （4人）。一個工作人員就又找了3個人和我合作。我們編排的故事情節(jié)大體是這樣的'：一個男孩在森林里散步，忽然看見了一條蛇，有兩個小女孩路過，救起了小男孩，殺死了那條蛇。我上臺比賽的時候非常緊張，但是雖然心里緊張，表面上卻看不出來，我相信在選手里面我是最放松的一個。最后經(jīng)過好久的比賽，評出了成績，我的成績不太理想，不過還是得了一等獎，我驚喜的跳了起來，心里準(zhǔn)備參加下一次比賽，但是后來工作人員的一句話潑了我一身冷水：特等獎的才有機(jī)會參加山東省的決賽！

　　唉~~我已經(jīng)努力了，不過我相信我會在雙語比賽中獲得冠軍，加油！
